Local Groups

Rosslare is a rich and vibrant community, where spirit and personnel development is important and even though the permanent population is only 1800 the community has developed a vast fabric of organisations societies and groups.  There is a wealth of opportunities for residents and visitors to involve themselves in.

Informal gatherings such as the Christmas day swim provides us with more glue to cement the community together. For those looking in from the outside Rosslare is a sleepy resort town where life ambles on at snails pace, but scratch the surface and you will reveal a hive of activity and host of opportunities for involvement. No wonder so many people are choosing to make Rosslare their permanent place of residence or as nearly 10,000 have done, their "get away from it all" second home.
