Access For All Garden
Many have been wondering what is happening beside the New 2 U Charity Boutique.
We are creating an Access-For-All Garden, this promises to be a beautiful addition to Rosslare for all to enjoy.
Below you will see a map of the plans and also a written piece with all the details.....
We will create a facebook page just for the Garden and will post regular updates on the progress as it happens, so stay posted!
All support is greatly appreciated!
Special Thank You to Betty Kehoe, Ashling Designs and Landscapes for providing a beautiful design.

ACCESS - FOR - ALL GARDEN PROJECT
Work has commenced on our Access-For-All garden. This is a major project that began when a joint RCDA/Tidy Towns entry in the Wexford Co. Co. competition to design an Access-For-All garden was adjudged the winning entry.
This garden will provide a wonderful amenity that will be a major asset for Rosslare.
The project was delayed because of the presence of two protected species of clover in the garden. Work could not begin until a licence was acquired from the National Parks and Wildlife Service.
When the locations of the protected clovers were identified a new design was necessary to ensure that the clovers were preserved.
We are very grateful to Betty Kehoe, Ashling Designs and Landscapes for providing a beautiful design within the restrictions imposed by the licence and to meet all the access-for-all criteria.
SPONSORSHIP/DONATIONS
The overall cost of the project will far exceed the €7000 winning prize. We are seeking sponsorships/donations to help us to provide the best quality garden.
We will acknowledge all donations of €100 and over by inscriptions on a plaque in the garden. Sponsorship of individual features will be acknowledged by a plaque on the sponsored feature.
For further information on sponsorships and donations please contact the RCDA office at 053 9132202
Beach Wheelchairs in Rosslare
Last summer saw the arrival of Rosslare's first beach wheelchairs. We are one of the first to receive these fantastic wheelchairs. What an invaluable addition to Rosslare Beach, we know so many people will be happy to see them here. A special Thank You to Billy Duggan who was the very first person to give our Beach Wheelchairs a test drive. Here's a few pictures from the official presentation of the first Beach Wheelchairs in Rosslare.Keep an eye out for the Beach Wheelchair sign on the beach.
